Hello

Hi, I’m Mandy Conn – founder of Scout Admissions and guide for one of life’s most important journeys!

I help students find colleges and other postgrad paths where they’ll thrive, and steer families through the process without letting stress take over. My knack for connecting with students helps keep the peace, the deadlines, and the focus on the end goal: a confident, happy launch to life after high school!

My Story

Before launching Scout Admissions, I was the Postsecondary Coordinator at Arapahoe High School, where I worked with hundreds of students and families on everything from career exploration to gap year planning to college applications. I started Scout because I saw how overwhelming this process can feel at home, and I wanted the space to give families a calmer, clearer way through from beginning to end.

I also bring the perspective of a parent who’s been through it. As a mom of three young adults, I know how high the stakes feel because I’ve lived it myself. When my own kid landed at a college that wasn’t the best fit, I saw firsthand how costly that path could be: lost credits, extra travel, and lots of time spent starting over. That experience fuels my commitment to making sure families I work with have the guidance I once wished for.

To build that compass, I’ve spent summers road-tripping across the country to visit more than 150 campuses (and counting). Walking dorms and dining halls, exploring the surrounding towns, and meeting with admissions staff has given me firsthand insight into what really makes a college click for a student. Those travels shaped the way I guide students today: with perspective, context, and an eye for the things that truly matter.

I'm a University of Georgia grad and hold a Master’s degree in Secondary English Education, along with a certificate in Independent Educational Consulting from the University of California, Irvine, and a proven track record of making this journey smoother, smarter, and a lot more rewarding for everyone.
